Instructions for Preparing and Submitting Your Manuscript to Plant Stress Biology

Submission Policy

Thank you for considering Plant Stress Biology for the publication of your research. We welcome high-quality submissions that present original theoretical frameworks, innovative experimental data, and transformative biotechnology innovations within the realm of environmental plant pressures.

All submissions must represent original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not currently under consideration by any other scientific journal. Authors are expected to strictly adhere to the formatting and structural constraints outlined below to prevent processing delays or administrative rejections.

Original Research Articles

Full-length papers offering exhaustive empirical datasets, clear method definitions, and novel discoveries regarding plant mechanism adjustments (Word count limit: 8,000).

Review Articles

Comprehensive evaluations synthesized by subject matter experts providing historical framing and highlighting future vectors in pressing stress biology disciplines (Word count limit: 12,000).

Short Communications

Rapidly processed, concise scientific briefs containing high-impact preliminary findings or urgent methodological modifications (Word count limit: 3,500).

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be configured using standard professional processing files (.doc, .docx) containing clear text layout parameters, continuous line numbering, and high-definition geometric figures.

Required Structure Sequence

  • Title Page: Precise title, full institutional affiliations, and the primary email profile for the corresponding author.
  • Abstract & Keywords: A single paragraph summary detailing objectives, results, and critical conclusions (Max 250 words), plus 4–6 indexing keywords.
  • Core Architecture text: Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRaD framework).
  • Declarations: Clear disclosures detailing funding networks, potential conflicts of interest, and data availability tracking links.
  • References: Assembled cleanly according to APA 7th style conventions, utilizing complete Digital Object Identifier (DOI) tracking hyperlinks where available.

Figures, Tables, and Supplementary Materials

To ensure outstanding display resolution within our open-access reader interfaces, graphics must conform to clean visual criteria. Line artwork must have a resolution of at least 1200 dpi, while halftone photographs or field visual records must be saved at a minimum of 600 dpi in TIFF or EPS file configurations.

Tables should be integrated directly into the primary document text immediately adjacent to their first structural mention. They must be configured inside editable text cells rather than embedded as static image blocks. Extended secondary material outputs or comprehensive gene sequencing spreadsheets should be separated out into distinct Supplementary Data files.
